Our production systems are governed by marginal economy. Shouldn´t we encourage “marginal ecology”. What I mean is illustrated by the previous post (some time ago). As the economic margin approaches equilibrium and max profit, the ecological margin increases with increased losses to the environment and reduced efficiency.
It is possible to combine these issues by including environmental costs in the optimum calculations.
